Rock N’ Roll Makeup Series – Recreating David Bowie’s Lightning Bolt Makeup Look

In today’s blog post I’m sharing with you a video, of my long-awaited recreation of David Bowie’s Lightning Bolt Makeup Look. As mentioned in the video below I did this look a couple of years ago as part of an Instagram collaboration, and after doing the Kiss looks that I shared I wanted to do a tutorial-type video showing how I did that.

Rock n’ Roll Series – Recreating the Makeup of Kiss |Peter Criss’s ‘The Catman’ Makeup look

In this installment of my ‘Recreating The Makeup of Kiss’ mini series, I’m going to be sharing with you my recreation of Peter Criss’s ‘The Catman’ makeup look. I could have recreated a number of looks that have been a part of Kiss’s long music career but I decided to go for the original lineup and looks that the members of Kiss are most known for or more iconic you could say. That’s why I also choose to also recreate Peter Criss’s ‘Catman’ makeup look.

Rock n’ Roll Series – Recreating the Makeup of Kiss |Ace Frehley Space Man Look

n this post I’ll be sharing with you my recreation of Ace Frehley’s ‘Spaceman’ makeup look, from my ‘Recreating The Makeup of Kiss’ mini series. I actually choose to attempt to recreate Ace Frehley’s ‘Spaceman’ makeup second after Paul Stanley’s Star Child, mainly I felt it was the next least intimidating one to take on, though my recreation is definitely not perfect the shapes were a bit off but I had fun doing it and that’s the whole thing behind this series is having fun recreating these looks.

In this installment of my ‘Recreating the Makeup of Kiss’, I’m going to be sharing with you my recreation of Gene Simmons ‘The Demon’ makeup look. I have to admit this was one that I was most excited to recreate when I choose to attempt this series. I had even decided to attempt to film myself recreating this one when I first started this mini series but ended up re-filming it (as well as the other looks obviously) because the angle didn’t look great, I’ll be sharing with you the better version in this post.

Rock n’ Roll Series – Recreating the Makeup of Kiss | Introduction + Paul Stanley’s ‘The Star Child’ Makeup Look

I’m happy to be finally sharing this series on my blog. After I finished my David Bowie makeup recreation a couple of years ago, I decided to turn it into a series. I really enjoyed the whole experience of creating that look and I thought turning it in to a series where I could recreate some more of my favourite musicians makeup looks would be fun. In this post and the ones following I will be sharing with you my makeup recreations from some of Kiss’s iconic makeup looks. I will be including photos and video’s (showing how I recreated each look) of the looks I recreated.

I had a lot of fun recreating these makeup looks and I tried to step outside of my comfort zone with these recreations. I wanted to add my own twist to each look, by adding in colour or adding my own elements to some of the looks. I also took already existing items from my wardrobe to put together some fun outfits for each character.
