Rock N’ Roll Makeup Series – Recreating David Bowie’s Lightning Bolt Makeup Look

Rock N’ Roll Makeup Series – Recreating David Bowie's Lightning Bolt Makeup Look | Life of Dahlia

In today’s blog post I’m sharing with you a video, of my long-awaited recreation of David Bowie’s Lightning Bolt Makeup Look. As mentioned in the video below I did this look a couple of years ago as part of an Instagram collaboration, and after doing the Kiss looks that I shared I wanted to do a tutorial-type video showing how I did that. But as I’m writing this description I realized that I did accidentally flipped the look while recreating it opps. In my original look, the lightning bolt was over my left eye not my right, but oh well it really doesn’t matter all that much.

Anyway I hope that you enjoy this video and if you are interested in checking out my original blog posts or my Kiss looks I’ll add some links below.

    1. Awesome. I totally did it backwards from my original photos and how it was in the bowie photos but I’m glad you liked it. The lightning bolt is supposed to be on the left eye lol. Oops.

I did a look years ago inspired by jem and the holograms but I don’t have it up any more. Maybe I should do another one lol
