In this installment of my ‘Recreating The Makeup of Kiss’ mini series, I’m going to be sharing with you my recreation of Peter Criss’s ‘The Catman’ makeup look. I could have recreated a number of looks that have been a part of Kiss’s long music career but I decided to go for the original lineup and looks that the members of Kiss are most known for or more iconic you could say. That’s why I also choose to also recreate Peter Criss’s ‘Catman’ makeup look.

Recreating Peter Criss’s The Catman Makeup Look
While this look , looks like it might be pretty simple I felt like it was among the more difficult to recreate, because there are more elements to this look, and creating that symmetry was quite difficult. For this look I wanted to include green and gold elements to the eyes as I had seen this in a couple of photos of Peter Criss and I knew I wanted to include a different colour for each look, so this seemed like the right course of action to take. For the nose I added silver because again I had seen this as a integral part of recreating this look and I finished of the look with a red lip just like in photos I had seen as well.
I felt like this look took me the longest to finish because of that symmetry and I found it quite difficult to acheive but never the less I like how it came out and I’m grateful that I gave it a go.
Outfit:
For my outfit I wore a customized faux leather vest from Temp that I have customized with studs and painted angel wings on the back, I put this on over the top of a black nylon dress with sheer panel in the front, I also wore some fish net stockings, black boots and a statement necklace. I finished of this look with a green ombre wig to match with the green on the eyes.
Props:
Like with my recreation of Gene Simmons look I didn’t have any props for this one, so I just took a couple of fashion pics.
