Ready Player One Book Review

Ready Player One was the debut and smash hit novel from Ernest Cline, Its filled with lots of 80’s Trivia and Retro Gaming references. It’s a retro gamers dream. Cline’s debut novel was also translated into a movie format that was then directed by non-other than Steven Spielberg, I mean if Spielberg thinks it’s good enough to turn into a movie it must be pretty good right.

I decided to read Ready Player One after watching the movie, but luckily enough by the time I did get around to reading it had forgotten what happened in the movie so I was really able to read without comparing the two. As part of this review, I do also want to touch on certain aspects of the book vs. the movie, comparing what differences they have and perhaps even tell you which one I preferred storyline wise.

‘Jane Doe’ Chronicles Book Review

If you saw my ‘Year Long Book Haul’ video, I mentioned wanting to read more books by Australian Authors, well at the start of January I decided to renew my library membership which had apparently ran out like two years ago, shows how much I used it, like never. Anyway, I renewed my library card and browsed through the book selection of my local library and I was quite surprised to come across two books which I had recently put on my ‘Book Wish list’ that were by an Australian Author. I’m sure you can guess what came next, I scooped up the chance to read them and borrowed both the current volumes from the ‘Jane Doe Chronicles’ (Jane Doe and The Cradle of All Worlds’ and ‘Jane Doe and The Key of All Souls) by Jeremy Lachlan. And I’m so glad I did because I really enjoyed them and I will defiantly be keeping them on my Wish list to purchase sometime in the future because I can totally see myself reading them again.

My 2021 Reading Challenge | Introduction

Welcome to my 2021 Reading Challenge blog post, as you may know I did a reading challenge in 2020 and I managed to read around 30 books (20 or so from my reading list as well as a few others), which was exciting, but after completing last years reading challenge I decided I wanted to change things up a bit. Last year I had a dedicated list of books I wanted to read and for the most part that was okay but I did find myself feeling a bit restricted with that format, so for this years challenge I’m changing things up a bit to make it a bit more fun by creating a list of prompts which I’ll share below.
