You may have noticed that I didn’t post a Third Quarter update when I was supposed to, that’s because I really struggled with reading in the middle portion of this year. Things were a bit slow so in the end I just decided to do a long post towards the end of the year instead, so I advise you to go grab a cup of tea or coffee which ever you prefer, you'll need it because this is a long one. I have split it into two parts so that it's hopefully easier to digest, the first will be my reviews for the third quarter and part two will be my forth quarter reviews and conclusion.
I can’t believe how fast this year is going, in today’s post I will be sharing with you my ‘Second Quarter’ Reading Challenge Update, how crazy is that, 6 months of the year gone already I can’t believe it.
The first month of this quarter I started off pretty good and I read through ‘The Hunger Games’ pretty quickly, I think it may have been a matter of a couple of weeks and then I moved on to Cassandra Clare’s ‘Infernal Devices’ trilogy. This one I could have finished in a month but I found myself feeling a bit tired and I didn’t feel like reading much. I was going through binge watching TV Show’s faze, still kind of there but anyway my reading for this quarter could have been better but what can I do really, other than try better for the next quarter.
As you might know I started of this year setting myself a reading challenge, the challenge was to shop my bookshelf (sort of) and read as many books on my shelf as possible (in one year).I have already set a list for myself of the books that I would like to read, a lot of them being ones that I have been wanting to read but haven’t got quite gotten there, yet; as well as a couple that may need to be purchased but the main idea is to read what I already have before purchasing more.
In this update post I will be sharing with you the books that I have read in the first quarter of the year and what my thoughts are one them.
This post is an intro to a new series that I would like to start on my blog called 'Colour with Me' where I will be sharing one of my other artistic hobbies, ie. colouring, drawing, art journaling etc.
In today's post I'm going to start off the series by sharing with you 'My Colouring Book Collection'.
In January I set myself a challenge to read more, I love reading but it can be so easy to get caught up in using digital devices, whether its scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest or watching hours of TV and Youtube. Or just spending copius amounts of time on the computer working.
While I try my best to balance time on and off devices I do find myself every now and then spending more time on than off, so I wanted to give myself a challenge in 2020 to read a bunch of books on my shelf.
