The Lunar Chronicles Book Review

Have you ever wondered what your favourite fairytales might look like if they were actually set in a far distant future? Where they might have access to advanced technology and could even live on the moon. Well Marissa Meyer’s series ‘The Lunar Chronicles’ may just be what you’re looking for, she takes the fairytales we all love and know, like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and even Snow White and puts them in a far distant future where technology has advanced far beyond what we currently know and Cinderella is actually a cyborg, living in New Beijing working as a mechanic.

‘Jane Doe’ Chronicles Book Review

If you saw my ‘Year Long Book Haul’ video, I mentioned wanting to read more books by Australian Authors, well at the start of January I decided to renew my library membership which had apparently ran out like two years ago, shows how much I used it, like never. Anyway, I renewed my library card and browsed through the book selection of my local library and I was quite surprised to come across two books which I had recently put on my ‘Book Wish list’ that were by an Australian Author. I’m sure you can guess what came next, I scooped up the chance to read them and borrowed both the current volumes from the ‘Jane Doe Chronicles’ (Jane Doe and The Cradle of All Worlds’ and ‘Jane Doe and The Key of All Souls) by Jeremy Lachlan. Angie Kent’s ‘If You Don’t Laugh You’ll Cry’ Book Review

If you aren’t familiar with who ‘Angie Kent’ is because your not from Australia, she started appearing on our TV screens a few years ago with one of her besties ‘Yvie Jones’ on a show called ‘Goggle Box’ where they show different groups of people (friends, families, etc) watching TV shows and basically giving commentary on what they are watching. Since then she has gone on to appear in shows like ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ and ‘The Bachelorette’.

She has quite a light hearted and funny personality, as well as being a huge animal lover and I think that’s why she is well loved. Why am I telling you all this well because I recently read her book and I thought I would share some of my thoughts.
