With everyone back at work and school after the holidays, I thought I would reshare an updated version of my original Pomodoro Timer videos. I was originally inspired to create these videos because of similar ones like this on YouTube. I find them helpful to keep myself focused, so I thought I would try to make some of my own. This one includes 4 x 25-minute sessions with 3 x 5-minute breaks in between.
I use a program called Flowscape to create the background visuals (which I think looks amazing) and added a timer and some music in Adobe Premiere to enhance the experience.
I also have a version of this video that includes both atmospheric sounds and music in case you want a version with some cozy lo-fi music. You can find it here.
This version (without music) was originally a blog exclusive, but it will now be available to everyone. I decided to do this so that I can build the new YouTube channel (Dahlia’s Focus Library) where I will be hosting these videos.
A little bit of behind the scenes – how I created these videos:
For these videos, like I mentioned above, I used a program called Flowscape. It is an amazing app or game that is available via Steam. You can create whole scenes in it, either by building upon a randomised landscape, and then add your own elements or take away what is already there and start from scratch. #notsponsored lol I just wanted to tell you a bit about what I used to create the scenery featured in this video incase you want to have a go at making your own scenery.
There are so many ways to create your own landscapes in Flowscape. You can add trees, flowers, and animals, change up the backgrounds and lighting, and add fog and nature sounds. It’s really fun to build scenes in this program.
I used OBS to capture my scene for this video, then added the footage into Adobe Premiere, created a timer. I added music for the other version of this video, but left this version with just the sound captured in flowscape.
It has been a learning curve, but it has also been fun to see it all come together.
But now let’s get ready to focus.

I hope that you found this video helpful. I will be continuing to add more videos to my focus library over the next year, so keep an eye out here for new videos or subscribe to Dahlia’s Focus Library to access the videos via Youtube.
Until next time I hope you all have an awesome day,
Erin.
