I Created My Own Activity Book – Winter Activity Booklet

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to sit down and film or write blog posts and the recent book reviews don’t really count as I kind of already had those mostly written from old book challenges so all I had to do was a bit of editing and add some photos.

Over the last few years I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues, it’s made it hard for me to do much at all and in the last year or so it’s had a significant impact on my everyday life. I started this project to give me something to do. I was inspired by a free activity booklet that my local library put out at the start of this year, as well as my love of art prompt activity books. I decided that I wanted to have a go at making my own, and what I’m sharing with you is the end result.

I was hoping to share this one with you at the start of June, seeing as the Activity booklet I’m sharing is themed around ‘Winter’, But I had to take a small break from working on it because I’ve been dealing with some ongoing health issues. I know what your thinking though but Winter is at the end/start of the year, not if you live in the southern hemisphere. Which is why I’m sharing it now.

I’ve actually been working on two activity booklets and I hope to share the other one with you soon. While this one is more aimed at a teen to adult audience, that one will be more aimed at children. But if you have kids they might have fun colouring in the bookmarks and colouring page included in this one.

Let’s have a look at what I’ve included in my First Activity Booklet.

I’ve created a lot of different types of activities for this booklet, with 13 usable activity pages that include some creative activities like drawing and colouring as well as puzzles, trackers, goal and journal pages. I drew all the illustrations included (which was a great drawing exercise for me, though I have to admit the colouring page has given me a bit of grief lol. I really struggled with certain elements, mainly the trees in the background. I just couldn’t get them to look the way I wanted. but this is a skill I’m still working on, so in the end I just had to let it be. I guess I can always update it in the future.)

This booklet also has a bit of a subtle bookish theme to it, which is why I decided to include a TBR Log page, colour-in bookmarks and a hot chocolate recipe. but it also has a good mix of fun activities along with some very usable pages that can be used over and over, like the goals, tracker and journal pages.

Things to consider when downloading My Activity Booklet.

When you download this, you can print as many copies as you want for yourself, This document is for Personal use only. I give you permission to download and print out for your own use, you can share your finished pages on Social Media (remember to tag me on Instagram @ erin_applebee so I can see what you have done and let people know where you got them from. Link back to this page if you share it on other social media platforms), but please do not re-distribute and/or sell the digital or physical copy of this document.

I have spent a lot of time and put a lot of love into creating this and while I get that putting it out there on the internet means that is a risk I have to take, I still need to share my terms of use. So Yeah you can print a copy for yourself but please do not re-distribute and/or sell the digital or physical copy of this document as it is a copyrighted work.

Printing and Download instructions

To print this out you will need a PDF reader (like Adobe Acrobat or Foxit reader) and a home printer, this document is in A4 sizing so you will need some A4 paper. Printing out on standard office paper is fine, however, I do recommend printing the bookmarks, colouring pages, etc on some heavier paper like some cardstock (you should be able to pick this up from your local office supplies store.)

I hope that you enjoy using this activity booklet. Remember if you share your finished pages on Instagram tag me @ erin_applebee so I can see them, or link back to this blog post if you share it elsewhere, so people know where you got it from. That would be much appreciated.

I plan on sharing a few videos on my social media either colouring in or using some of the pages included in this booklet. I hope to also share a couple of longer videos on youtube and here on my blog colouring in the colouring page and bookmarks.

Until then I hope you all have fun printing this out and maybe doing some of the pages while watching your latest binge or listening to an audio-book or podcast and you know just enjoy some relaxing vibes.

Until next time, I hope you all have an awesome day,

Erin.
