Testing Andalou Naturals – Age-Defying Skincare Essentials

Andalou Naturals Review | Life of Dahlia

I’m a huge lover of skincare , not just for it benefits but also because it gives me a few moments of selfcare as I go through my skincare routine, it can be quite theraputic in my eyes to take those few minutes to be in the moment while your going through your skincare routine.

In today’s post I’m sharing a skincare post all about Andalou Naturals ‘Age-Defying Skincare Essentials‘ pack. I picked this up a few months ago to test out once I had finished up a few other skincare products.

This brand is actually fairly new to Australia, I picked this trial set after seeing them advertised in one of Priceline Australia‘s catalogues. I love natural based skincare and Its great to see Priceline stocking more cruelty-free brands.

I love when brands have trial sets I think they are a great way to test out products before committing to purchasing the full-sized product. If it is something you enjoyed and didn’t have any reactions to then you can go ahead and pick up the full-sized products.

I decided to go ahead and pick up the ‘Age-defying’ set, I’m in my 30’s now and that means I really need to start using anti-ageing products to keep my skin nice and youthful. This set is good for people with dry skin, dull & flaky skin or has premature ageing with fine lines and wrinkles.

While I do have combo skin with oiliness in certain areas I do have drier skin in the winter time so I thought that this would be an interesting one to try out.

About Andalou Naturals

“The natural products industry embraces innovation and creativity, while entrepreneurship offers women a level playing field to succeed. For Andalou Naturals, my goal was to create an empowerment brand with a mission to influence an industry to do better, while creating a sustainable source of revenue for social responsibility.” โ€“ Stacey Kelly Egide, Founder & CEO – sourced from Andalou Naturals Website

I love what this brand is about they create non-gmo products to empower women and want to better the planet by using sustainable resources and creating innovative products through plant science. Find out all about their standards here.

Andalou Naturals ‘Age-defying’ range

The ‘Age-defying’ range has ‘Resveratrol & CoQ10, super antioxidants that support skin wellbeing and essential building blocks to promote collagen & elastin for softer smoother appearance and youthful vitality.’ – Andalou Naturals.

The basis of this range is the fruit stem cell complex, Resveratrol & CoQ10, ‘Resveratrol is often referred to as the ‘fountain of youth’ because it appears to be so effective at warding off many diseases associated with ageing‘ And ‘Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a basic substance that our bodies make naturally’ – source –Abeeco of New Zealand

Andalou Naturals derive their ingredients from plants, for example, Resveratrol in their products is derived from red grape skin and the Resveratrol Q10 is made from Resveratrol combined with Coenzyme Q10 which they derive from fermented vegetables.

I honestly find this stuff really fascinating, for Andalou’s full ingredients list you can find it on their website. The more I’ve been looking into this brand the more I love and want to support them, I think what they are doing is fantastic and I’m already wanting to try more of their products out.

Update: I’m quite interested in trying their newest range CannaCellยฎ Skin Care range with Hemp Stem Cells it helps give a glowy complexion.

My Thought On The Products

Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk

I don’t mind this as an everyday cleanser but I got the impression from the description that it could be used to remove my makeup like a cleansing oil, it didn’t do that at all but as a regular cleanser, I thought it was nice.

I really enjoy my current go-to cleanser so I’m not sure I would grab the full size of this one.

Blossom + Leaf Toning Refresher

I thought this was an okay toner it didn’t dry my skin out but the scent really bothered me it was quite strong and I think that’s what put me off finishing this all up. I don’t think this is something I would buy in the full-size.

BioActive 8 Berry Fruit Enzyme Mask

I’ve tried this a few times and I quite like it, my skin feels fresh and rejuvenated, It definitely did what it claimed and I would actually consider purchasing the full-size of this once I’ve finished up some of my current face masks.

Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream

This was a nice daily moisturizer, it made my skin feel hydrated, I don’t know if I saw much of a difference as far as fine-lines and wrinkles but I definitely felt like this was a good hydrating moisturizer. I would consider picking this up in the future.

Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream

This one I’m actually not sure about, I liked it but I’ve been having some breakouts and I’m not sure if its been hormonal or if its because this contains Cocoa seed butter and that was the problem. I know ingredients like these can cause some people to break out so I’m on the fence about this one.

Have you tried Andalou Naturals? What are your thoughts and what would you recommend trying out? let me know in the comments.

I really enjoyed trying this out, I’m actually interested in trying out a couple of the products from this range that weren’t included in this pack the ‘Fruit Stem Cell Revitalize Serum‘ & the ‘Hyaluronic DMAE Lift & Firm Cream‘, they both look really great and if they are anything like the few products I enjoyed in this pack I’m sure I’ll like them enough to consider adding into my regular skincare routine.

Aussies can pick up Andalou Naturals from Priceline Australia, online or instore.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time,
