First Impressions | BH Cosmetics Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette

First Impressions | BH Cosmetics Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette | Life of Dahlia

In today post I’m testing out the BH Cosmetics ‘Zodiac’ eyeshadow palette. This post is a little bit different than the more comprohensive reviews I usually share on my blog, for this post I decided to share my first impressions of the ‘Zodiac’ palette. I usually test products out for a few weeks before giving a review but I thought it would be fun to try something different today and do a first impressions type of post.

This is actually my first time trying out BH Cosmetics so this is a double first impressions, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I picked this up from Glamraider.com for $35 which is pretty good if you ask me, they provided great customer service with express shipping and half-refunding me, after realizing they didn’t have the other item I ordered in stock. I will definitely be purchasing from them again.

My First Impressions of The BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette

My first impressions of this palette were pretty good, I’m so excited to have this palette in my makeup collection. I was so surprised when I first dipped into a couple of the mattes eye-shadows to find out that they had great pigmentation and blended out nicely. I didn’t feel like I had to work to hard with them or dip back in to the pan multiple times to get the pigmentation I desired which was great.

I used two of the baked shimmers in ‘Libra’ and ‘Virgo’ for the look I did, I loved the colours and the pigmentation was really nice. I dipped into the large baked highlighter in the middle for face highlights, it was stunning (though it doesn’t show up well in the photos.)

I experience little to no fall out on my face from the matte’s but I did experience a some from the shimmer eyeshadow that I used, there was also not much kick up in the pan either.

The eyeshadow held up pretty great through out the day with not much fading. I always use a eyeshadow primer I thought that would be a good thing to mention, I did experience some creasing but I think that was because I used a concealer on my eye lids to help conceal the veins that are visible.

The Look I Create With The BH Cosmetics Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette

What I Used To Create This Look

  1. Aquarius (matte- colour: tan) as a transition shade.
  2. Pisces (matte – colour: deep eggplant brown) in outer corner & crease.
  3. Libra (shimmer – colour: burgundy) all over lid
  4. Virgo (shimmer – colour: ) inner corner

Have you tried out the BH Cosmetics Zodiac Palette? What are your thoughts on it? let me know.

I can’t wait to try out this palette more and maybe purchase some more from this brand in the future. I’ll do a follow up review at some point to give my full thoughts on this palette after trying it out for a longer period of time.

Until next time, I hope you have a lovely day.
