Hey guys, I thought I would share with you some of the new releases that I find interesting but before I get into it I just wanted to lightly touch on a topic that’s caused a lot of controversy in the beauty community lately. This is something I’ve thought about talking about for a while but put off because I genuinely dislike conflict it causes me so much anxiety.
If you didn’t know there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Kat Von D and her brand lately, I’m not going to go into it too much but I recommend you watch this video by Spooky Lips And Fat Hips on Youtube, she talks about the posts, comments and her personal thoughts on the matter.
I just wanted to let you guys know that for similar reasons to Lacey and many others I will no longer be supporting Kat Von D and her brand. I plan on keeping the stuff I already own I just don’t plan on purchasing anything from her brand in the future. Instead, I’m going to support other brands particularly indie brands who actually appreciate the people who purchase their products.
I’m even at the point now where I am thinking about removing all my posts that give her products a review or feature. I’m not saying they aren’t great products I love them all but I don’t want to support someone with her attitude. If you have been following me for any length of time you will probably have seen that I post about her brand a lot because I genuinely enjoyed her products like a lot of other people and this is why I’m so deeply disappointed.
Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest let’s get into this post and move on to happier topics.
As always I will link my information sources at the end of my post and in the captions.
Also, I want to know what are your favourite indie brands to purchase from? leave me a comment.
Okay let’s get into this, first up is the new ABH Norvina Eyeshadow Palette, at first I was unsure about this and I may still need to think about it once I see swatches that may be the swaying decider.
This palette features an equal amount of mattes to shimmers, with lots of rosy and purple tones as well as some neutrals to help create a look. It will be releasing on the 17 of July on ABH.com, 29th online @ Ulta Beauty, August 7th online at Sephora, Macys, Dillards, Nordstrom and Sephora in JCP. International retail will be released sometime in August. Information source – Trendmood1.
When I look at this I see maybe one or two shades that I’m not sure about but I’m drawn to the rest. I’m even thinking I may pick this up for my mum for Christmas I think this would be right up her ally.
Australis have released this new Metal AF Liquid Eyeshadows, I actually think they are really pretty but as I’ve mentioned before I have deep-set eyes and I’m not sure how these would work for me. I think they are really pretty I may have to keep an eye out for reviews.
These beauties have a duo-chromatic finish and are available in four shades including Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Emerald and Bronzite. They are available via the Australis Website and I’m sure you will be able to find them instore at Priceline really soon. They are $14.95 AU each.
I saw these featured on Beauty News, and they are gorgeous, the girls also did a review and I feel like these may be something I want to pick up or at least look into, They are just so cool.
These guys are multi-chrome galaxy liners from the brand JD Glow Cosmetics, they are available in six colours Geometrix, Translayed, Spectra, Sphinx, Shooketh & Oil Spill. They are currently sold out but they should restock, they are $55.00 US for the bundle or $9.50 US each.
I’ve never purchased from this brand but I love the look of the colours in this palette and I’ve been wanting to get another palette with some shades like this in it. I love that it has some brights, pastels and deeper shades.
This is the Dragon Child Eyeshadow Palette from indie brand Makeup Monster Cosmetics, it’s currently for presale for $42.00 US they hope to ship out on July 15th.
“Our Dragon Child palette features 10 vibrant, smooth matte eyeshadows and 2 unbelievably buttery metallic shades inspired by all Dragons. Fierce orange and red, aquatic blue, reptilian greens, smokey purples and grey, timeless metallic gold, and reflective rose gold shades will inspire endless possibilities! Our very first ever eyeshadow palette is 100% vegan, talc free and cruelty-free!” – makeupmonsters.net
I’m definitely going to research this and wait for reviews I may want to purchase sometime in the future, being their first is something I definitely want to see reviews of first.
Now you know I love NYX Cosmetics, they are one of my favourite affordable brands, I really like the look of this but to be honest they still haven’t released the So Mochi or Ultimate Brights her yet and its like over halfway through the year. Honestly, by the time this actually is released her people will have moved on to something else, I know I will have.
I mean they are just rolling out the Vinyl collection here like wtf, they need to get this stuff out quicker especially with the internet and social media. I get seasons and whatever but I feel like a lot of brands are releasing all around the same time globally nowadays because people see it and want it soon not in a year.
Wow that go ranty, yeah anyway not sure about this, I like the colours and layout and whatever but I can’t be bothered waiting 6 months to a year to get it I’m sure I could dupe some out in my collection and purchase singles or other brands palettes to fill in what I don’t already own.
This is the new collection Too Faced have been sneak peeking, it called the Tutti Frutti Collection, this is still being sneak peaked so not to much has been shown and I have no idea if this will be released worldwide because of its and Ulta Beauty exclusive.
All I know is that it looks like there will be an eyeshadow palette, blush duos, highlight or bronzer duos, possible highlighting sticks, lip glosses and some other stuff.
Those lip glosses look interesting, I can’t wait to see more photos, it looks fun and summery.
This is one of the latest palettes from Urban Decay, I quite like it but I feel I could easily dupe most if not all of these shades. also is that black a shimmer, that’s interesting, if this had more matte shades in varying depths I think I might like it more.
Anyway, if this does interest you it’s available now, everywhere I think including Mecca for Aussies and NZlanders. International at UrbanDecay.com. This retails for $76.00 AU in Mecca Maxima or on the Mecca Website
I’ve seen this brand before a lot of people talk about it but to be honest none of their products really jumped out at me, but this does I actually really like a majority of the shades in here I know this brand can be expensive so I’ll have to check out some reviews but I may be interested in this if they are positive.
If your an Aussie and want to know where you can purchase this brand you can grab it from Discount Beauty Boutique, they stock a few brands like Violet Voss, Physicians Formula, Ofra Cosmetics, Wet n Wild, Milani, BYS Cosmetics and many more go check them out.
