As a makeup and skincare lover I often get samples with my purchases from Sephora, Mecca and alike, If you’re like me you probably have a few in your beauty drawer.
Today I’m going to be sharing with you some samples that I’ve tried that made me want to buy the full size version of the product (Just a note I haven’t purchased most of these yet but these samples really made me want to try the full-sized products.)
I personally enjoy trying samples I think they are a great way to try a product out before purchasing, especially if the product is an expensive one. It gives you a good indication as to whether the product might be right for you and worth splurging on.
Samples that made me want to purchase the full-sized product.

Mario Badescu: Botanical Exfoliating Scrub
I’ve tried a few samples of ‘Botanical Exfoliating Scrub‘ and I loved it so much that it made me really curious about the brand. I’m currently trying out some affordable skincare but once I’m finished them I will definitely look at purchasing some products from this brand.
If you have tried anything from this brand I would love to know what products you really enjoyed? I have aging combo skin so If your skin is similar to mine I would love to know what products worked for you?
Update: I haven’t purchased this yet but I have tried the Mario Badescu Facial Sprays and I have to say I love them. I may do a review on them soon.

Bean Body: Coconut Coffee Scrub
I got a sample of the Coconut Coffee Scrub from Bean Body in a Priceline Skincare bag, I loved this and the Manuka Honey one which I purchased in a full-size I would repurchase again. I think my only negative is that brands like this market themselves as cruelty-free, no nasties etc but don’t let you know if you can recycle their packaging but based on the product its self I really enjoyed it and I would love to repurchase it.
Update: I have repurchased this product since and it is one of my favourite loose body scrubs.

Hour Glass Cosmetics: Veil Mineral Primer
This primer is seriously O.M.G, it’s so good, I received a few samples with my Mecca orders and I loved it so much that I looked it up and was like okay not going to happen. If you know Hour Glass you know they aren’t cheap, on Mecca, this retails for $80 for a 30ml bottle, it is available in an 8.95ml, 30ml, and 59ml which cost $108.
As much as I love this I just can’t justify spending that much, I mean even the smallest size is still $27, I don’t mind paying that If I’m getting a nice quantity of products but not for what is essentially a travel size. I think I’ll just stick with my samples.

Josie Maran: Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid
I received a decent sample of this with one of my Mecca orders it came with several shades, my shade is ‘Dynamic RG5’ which is the lightest and I really enjoyed this I felt like the sample size was good I could get a few applications out of it which means I could decide whether it really worked for me. Its a nice coverage and helped to even my skin out, it is probably something I will look into buying in the future.

Tarte: Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Glisten
I received a sample card with one of my Sephora orders that included, ‘Park Ave Princess’ and ‘Glisten’ I really enjoyed the blush and was looking at purchasing it but I found a similar blush I already had in my collection so I probably won’t purchase this in the future because I have something similar.

Nars: Laguna Bronzing Powder (no longer Cruelty-free)
Nars is no-longer CF which is sad because I was really interested in trying out some of their products like the ‘Laguna’ bronzer which I received with a sample with a Mecca order, I really enjoyed it but seeing as they are no longer CF I won’t be purchasing it now.
I think the Toofaced Chocolate Bronzers are a better fit for me.
What sample’s have you tried that made you want to purchase the full-size?
Until next time, I hope you have a lovely day.
