Makeup Project Pan Update Three | Life Of Dahlia

Makeup Project Pan: Update Three | Life Of Dahlia

Hey Project Pan Junkies, I’m excited to share my Project Pan update with you I’ve made a decent amount of progress on a few items in the last month which I’m really happy with. Last month I didn’t have much to show as far as progress in my project pan so I included it in my Empties post, you can find that here if you are interested in checking that out.

I’ve included a couple of items I didn’t include in my last post, I managed to finish up a couple of foundations in the last month that were unofficially in my project pan, meaning I forgot to add them in my last post.

Used Up Products

I finished up both my Chi Chi Cosmetics ‘Fabulous & Flawless‘ foundation as well as my NYX ‘Total Control Drop Foundation‘, I was mixing these two together to give my foundation a little more coverage. I don’t like to have a lot of foundations in my collection because I just don’t like seeing them go to waste, so I wanted to use these up before purchasing anything new.

I managed to finish up quite a few products this month, I feel like these are some of the most used products I use in my daily makeup routine. In addition to the liquid foundations, I also managed to finish up two primers including the Australis ‘Midas Touch’ serum primer and the Savvy by DB smooth finish primer, I have two back up’s of these that I would also like to use up, so I have since added in a new tube to my project pan.

I also finished one of my Rimmel ‘Stay Matte’ Powder foundation which is one of the non-cruelty-free items in my collection that I would like to use up, I’ve still got a couple of these to finish up. I’ll be excited to finish these so that I can purchase a cruelty-free powder.

Too Faced Cosmetics – Peppermint Latte Eyeshadow Palette

I’ve made a small bit of progress on a couple of shades in this Too Faced palette that I added, I have to admit the eyeshadows that I added into my project pan I’m struggling to use because I have been reaching for other palettes in my collection. Being a blogger I like to play and create different looks with different products in my collection so I feel like that’s why I am struggling with some of the stuff I added, meaning I just forget to use them.

I have found that these are not my favourite eyeshadows but I want to get some use out of these, to declutter them from my collection. I like to reach for these when I’m using a palette that needs some transition or base shades but I rarely reach for the others, I would like to make more of an effort in the next couple of months to use the eye products that I included in my project pan.

My goal is to depot the blush at the end and put it in a magnetic palette, I might get more use out of the blush in spring but it’s going into autumn / winter here so I probably won’t reach for this as much. I really wanted to focus on the eyeshadows in this palette rather than the blush.

Maybe I should do a post featuring items in my project pan? what do you think? I could create a look using only items in my project pan.

Innoxa ‘Colour Correcting’ Palette

I feel like I’ve made some decent progress with my Innoxa ‘Colour Correcting‘ palette, I do struggle with this, It looks great on the skin but once I try to set it it looks all patchy, it been a real pain. I loved this initially when I bought it so much that I bought a backup now I’m dreading having to try and use this up but I’m going to persist with it so I don’t waste the product.

I’ve made decent progress on the peach and green shades and I can see progress on the yellow, I want to finish the peach, yellow, green and potentially the lavender shade in this palette. The two darker shades are unusable for me because I’m so fair.

Concealer & Pencil Progress

I’m happy with the progress that I’ve made with the Australis ‘Bye Bye Blemish’ concealer, I had to take the stopper out because I was struggling to get the product out of the packaging. I’m starting to have to scrape down the sides so I’m hoping this will be gone by the next update. This is a product I have backups of because last year I went through this thing where I was obsessed with buying backups, let’s just say this year has been very different and I’ve slowed that right down. I would love to use all my concealers up this year so that I can try new products.

I’ve made a little bit of progress on a couple of my brow pencil items and the lip liner that I’ve included in my project pan, you can see in the March update image that I’ve marked where my progress is. I’m hoping to get a lot more progress in the next couple of months.

Brow Products

I feel really ambitious trying to pan three brow products, I used to go for light brows with my yellow and orange hair but I have been really loving dark eyebrows lately so I’ve been using the BYS ‘Brow Definition Kit’ a lot in recent months, I’m not sure If I can successfully pan these but I’m going to give it a good go.

I like to use the brow pencil on days where I really can’t be bothered putting on heaps of makeup and I want to go for the natural look and I tend to do blonde brows when I would first get my hair redone because it’s closer to my hair colour. I might try to use the pencil and brow pomade more over the next couple of months to finish up as much as possible.

New Additions – Perfumes

I finished up the Vivianne Westwood perfume that I had included in my last update, so I wanted to add a new one. I initially added in one of Katy Perry perfumes but the sprayer has since decided to stop working so If I can’t fix it I may have to just move on. I decided to add in my Juicy Couture perfume as well seeing as I was having the dilemma with the Katy Perry one. My hope is to use up a few perfumes in my collection before I purchase more.

New Additions – Makeup

I’ve added some new makeup to my project pan, since I panned a couple of foundations I have added in a new one, this is one that was in the kit that I was building for my makeup course, but at this point I just don’t have the energy to continue with the course so I’ve decided to use some of the products that I purchased so they don’t go to waste.

I’ve added in the Maybelline ‘Fit Me foundation‘ in the shade’Porcelain‘, I was struggling to find a nice shade range in some of the affordable cruelty-free brands that were available to me so I decided to purchase this just for the course. I also added in a bottle of the Australis ‘Match Maker lightening drops‘ to help lighten the foundation so that it matches my shade.

I’ve added in a couple of new lip products including a Nutrimetics ‘Nutri-Rich lip balm‘ and a Lipgloss, I thought this would pair nicely with the lip liner I included in my project pan for those days where I just don’t feel like wearing much.

Sorry if that was long and rambly, I hope you are all having a great time panning your collection. I love seeing peoples project pan posts so send me the links to your posts I would love to see them.
