Essano Rosehip Oil Treat Pack Review | Life of Dahlia

A couple of months ago in Priceline, I saw an interesting product that I wanted to try, it was a ‘Rosehip Oil Treat Pack’ by Essano. It is basically a sample pack with five of their products. Since then I’ve been trying out their products and they were kind enough to send me out a new treat pack when I mentioned that mine was missing the cleanser, which I was most excited to try out.

I’ve been loving Essano’s Cleanser and Moisturiser so much that I recently purchased the full size of both to use once I’d finished up my sample size ones.

Essano is an Organic Certified skincare company from New Zealand with sustainable business and recycling practices, better yet they don’t test on animals.

Update: Since writing this post, Essano started changing their packaging to be made from recycled plastics instead or new plastics (2018) and I’m assuming they will carry that out through out their whole range of products, which is great.

Organically Certified Rosehip Oil

I’ll admit that I haven’t used this much mainly because I wasn’t sure what to use it for. I knew that you could use it on stretch marks and scars, but I didn’t have enough in my sample to use on any stretchmarks so I just left it.

But I just recently I’ve found out that you can use it on blemishes on your face, to reduce scarring and help with pre-mature aging, so I gave that ago. I was surprised how little I needed to spread it over my face, I was worried that It would be super oily but within minutes I felt like it has absorbed into my skin leaving it smooth and silky.

You can use it after cleansing and before you apply your moisturizer.

I’m going to give this one some further testing when I have blemishes on my skin.

Update: I have purchased a few bottles of this since and its great for putting on scars as well as help add moisture to your skin. You don’t need much so it goes a long way. It can be an investment for a good rosehip but it will last you a long time.

Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser

I was the most excited to try this and when I received my second sample pack it was the first thing I tried out, naturally.

This product smells amazing and it’s so smooth on the skin, it makes your skin feel so soft. I love products where a little bit goes a long way and this one defiantly does you need a couple of squirts or pumps and that’s it.

I uses mine in conjunction with my Conair True Glow – Sonic Cleansing System, it leaves my skin feeling so incredible, but its also great on its own. I loved trialing this so much I went out and brought the full size and its since become a staple in my skincare routine.

This product is rich with organic rosehip oil and contains active natural botanical extracts including aloe vera to hydrate the skin, which is why my skin feels so amazing after using it.

It’s a gel formula but foams up when mixed with water on your hands.

Regenerating Facial Moisturiser

I have been using this every day as part of my morning routine, after cleansing I pop this on and it smooths out my skin. I love the way these products make my skin feel and I have defiantly noticed changes after using this and the cleanser on my face. The rosehip oil helps smooth out my blemishes after those nasty face demons have made an appearance and help with general redness.

This product contains organic Rosehip Oil, vitamins, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter and using it daily is supposed to help hydrate and nourish your skin at a micro-cellular level.

Moisture Restorative Night Creme

I’ve been using this as part of my night routine after cleansing and before bed I put this on and it add a deep conditioning hydration to my skin over night.

It’s suppose to help promote skin elasticity and a healthy complexion, through the use of Organic Rosehip Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter.

Intensive Hydrating Body Lotion

What I love about these products is they all smell so amazing and they are so moisturizing. For those who know me, know that I love hand creams and body lotions, honestly its my Mum’s fault she has always used hand creams for as long as I can remember and I think its rubbed off, no joke I have a collection, I place them everywhere around the house, in my bag just so I can use them all or find one when I need it.

So this product is right up my alley, its amazing and just another addition to my collection. Essano uses Organic Rosehip Oil and active botanical extracts such as Aloe Vera and Jojoba oil in their body lotion to help your skin feeling smooth and silky.

Update: They now have a few new additions to their body care range including body wash and matching body lotions, the body washes are relatively inexpensive and will last you months, you only need a little bit to get a nice lather. The body lotions are more expensive but again will last a while. Check out their whole range on their website.

I have thoroughly enjoyed trying these products out and I will defiantly be keeping them in my routine. If you are interested in trying them out you can check out their website or if you live in Australia you can pick them up at your local Priceline.

Until next time, I hope you have a lovely day.
